Our History

Arbor Bank's roots stem back to 1865 when the Nebraska City institution was established.  We remain the oldest state bank in Nebraska.  Our dynamic leadership continues to strongly invest in Southeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa with financial and community support.

May 8, 1865
Nebraska City institution is established.  Original name:  Otoe County National Bank of Nebraska City.

December 23, 1881
Oakland institution is established.  Original name:  Citizens State Bank.

January 1, 1891
Sidney institution is established.  Original name:  Fremont County Savings Bank.

November 18, 2002
Fremont County Savings Bank opens branch in Omaha.  Bank name changes to:  First Community Bank.

June 1, 2007
Citizens State Bank of Oakland and Otoe County Bank of Nebraska City are merged to form Arbor Bank.

June 30, 2011
First Community Bank and Arbor Bank combine operations to become one bank,  Arbor Bank.
